Congratulations to
Praneeth Madoori, violin student of Lisa Jo Borchers, received a 1st place ranking
at the Illinois Grade School Music Association solo and ensemble contest. Praneeth was
also in a string ensemble which received a 1st place. Congratulations Praneeth!
Gretchen Andsager, vocal student of Alan Hannapel, has received a 1st place at the
IHSA solo and ensemble contest singing "To The Sky". Congratulations Gretchen!
Fall Ensemble Program -- Incredible Performances at Fitzgerald’s!

Musical Expressions held its Fall Ensemble on December 2nd, 2007 at Fitzgerald’s in Berwyn. All bands did an outstanding job and covered a variety of music such as The White Stripes, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Neil Young, The Allman Brothers Band, and Phish to name a few. Band mates picked the songs to be performed and practiced for 8 weeks before the final performance at Fitzgerald’s.
Musical Expressions guitar teacher Erik Haddad is currently having his original music used in:
-a Texas Chamber of Commerce commercial
-live theatre productions
-a TV program in Malaysia
-an enabling device for the handicapped
-video games
-several short films, student films, and documentaries
-dozens of websites, podcasts, audiobooks, corporate promotional videos and E-Cards

Ed Breckenfeld performed with Jim Peterik's World Stage at the McAninch Performing Arts Center at College of DuPage on February 16th. World Stage is a classic rock all-star show with a revolving cast of guest artists. This years show features members of Survivor, Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, '38 Special, the Ides of March, and others. Ed will be backing up these artists on drums for this major rock event.
