Every Performance Rocks the House!

Our ensemble classes are meant for students who are motivated by group involvement or just enjoy working as part of a team.

Ensembles are for students who know the basics of playing their instrument, who are ready to advance, and who are interested in learning how to perform in an authentic rock show environment.

The social interaction helps students stay motivated and challenged in a supportive, friendly environment. In addition to learning how to master their instrument, students will also develop their skills in musicianship, stage performance, harmonies, etc.

Each class is a 90 minute session and runs for 10 weeks. The classroom is set up as a band workshop with all the necessary equipment (drums, keyboard, amps, microphones, stands, etc.) provided. Guitar students need to bring his or her own guitar to the class each week. A typical class consists of a vocalist, 1 or 2 lead guitars, a bass guitar, keyboard player, and a drummer – however, other instruments are welcome.

Junior high students, high school students and adults can register to participate. Musical Expressions teachers are in charge of the ensemble program and auditions are required for non-Musical Expressions students.

Class size is limited so each student receives the personalized attention necessary to develop a cohesive, hard rocking, professional-sounding band.

We are the oldest rock band program in Naperville! Our inaugural performance was Nov. 25, 2002 at the Caberet Bar and Grill in Naperville. Previous Ensembles have held their final performances at the famous Fitzgerald’s in Berwyn, Two Brothers in Aurora, Synergy, The Back Door in West Chicago, and Bally Doyles’ in Downers Grove.
