Dan received his B.S. in Music Education and his M.A. in Piano Performance from Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. Additionally he took choral conducting coursework from Westminster Choir College in Princeton N.J. Dan is currently pursuing his D.M.A. in Music Education from Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. Included in Dan’s teaching experience are eighteen years of coaching both choral and instrumental ensembles as well as teaching private lessons including piano, strings and other orchestral instruments. He also has worked extensively in church music programs, scheduling service music and directing choirs and orchestras.
Dan enjoys teaching private lessons and working with instrumental groups. When working with instrumentalists regarding rhythms, theory or inner and outer hearing he has found his music education background helpful for providing effective teaching strategies. |
